Here we go, back from wedding fun and games in the U-S-of-A. After a long journey and a day of vegetating, reality bites hard as we figure out all of the things that now need doing.
Thankfully there was good news from the US embassy awaiting our return. My visa interview has been scheduled for 2 June. This is great as it gives us something to aim for. Unfortunately it’s two days before Jennifer and Dott fly out, so there’s a lot going on that week. We’ll travel down on Monday the first and stay in a hotel because my interview is 9.30 the next morning. After that (and hopefully my approval for a visa) we’ll travel back and then get ready for driving back down to London the next day. If it were just Jenn flying out we’d stay down there the from the first, but because Dott won’t be too happy living out of her cat carrier for four days, the two trips are the only way to do it.
Anyway, a more pressing matter is my medical exam scheduled for next Tuesday. This has to be done and the results forwarded to the embassy before I can get my visa. That I am not looking forward to because a) it’s £180; and b) I don’t want some hairy arsed doctor prodding my bits while I sit in my thousand-wash-grey underpants. No sirree.
The things I do for Mrs H.
