Superbowl XLIII

It would be rude for an Englishman moving to the USA not to give a mention to the (apparently) “greatest sporting event in the world”.

We’re taking it very seriously this year with me taking tomorrow off work and a friend who’s into American sports coming up to Durham all the way from Stoke-on-Trent.

Superbowl grubSo, we have the beers in (Anchor Steam & Sierra Nevada) and Jennifer is busy in the kitchen preparing suitably American food for us to enjoy. We also have Red Bull on standby as it’s gonna be a long night.

While Americans enjoy the day, we’re enjoying it in the middle of the night. This, of course, is the last year of such nonsense as next year we’ll be enjoying the game at a decent hour and hopefully with some nice weather and a bbq. As it is, we’re receiving severe weather warnings of heavy snow as we huddle in front of the TV.

Florida, it ain’t.

  2. [...] I can’t believe that a year has passed since the last Superbowl about which I also posted. [...]
