Return of the right arm

It’s only fitting that my first post after the safe return of my BlackBerry should be from the device itself.

This morning Mr Postman shoved it through our letterbox, it having been sent home by its finders.

My darling’s passage home began last Sunday with a message on the home phone from Aer Lingus’ handling agents. I shall skip the boring detail, but three weeks after it was lost, my BlackBerry had been found. Goodness knows where it had jetted to, but it’s probably now well travelled.

I liaised with the kind folks at MCS and this has led to this joyous day. As soon as I got my mitts on the box of joy, I contacted Orange to unblock the IMEI number and reinstate my data plan. I was pleased the data cost had come down to £5 per month and even more pleased that as a “loyal customer” I was given 100 mins a month extra at no extra cost.

I should lose my BlackBerry more often.
